The IFA (Independent Factors Association) formed in 1977 is a rapidly expanding automotive organisation which distributes motor vehicle components in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The IFA is a totally open forum; it lives and breathes on communication. It operates like a "mutual", owned and operated by its members. The IFA has collective strength, views and relevant market information from all its members. Being associated with the IFA, brings the benefits of a "national" buying power group, whilst retaining the particular service required by individual customer at grass root levels. The IFA collectively react, source and purchase products on the scale of national factors with all the benefits associated with such buying power.

Dealing with the IFA as a supplier of products and services does provide substantial benefits. The scale of operation represented by the mutual purchasing of the members is substantial. The IFA makes agreement with their suppliers and keeps them. A supplier will benefit from the continuity of mutuality in attitude towards suppliers. Recognise that the members are entrepreneurs who have an interest with you in making a success of the products that they agree to purchase.
